Hey guys! So we’re always looking for ways to speed up the healing process when injury strikes, or hopefully prevent injuries from occurring in the first place. And because we do get a lot of patients coming through with soft tissue and joint related injuries, we’ll sometimes recommend they look into collagen. Now collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies and is basically the ‘glue’ that holds us together.
There’s lots of really good supplemental collagen sources available these days in stores but they tend to get pretty expensive. So we find that one of the the lowest cost, easiest ways to get collagen is with bone broth. You want to look for the best quality bone broth that you can afford – that’s really important. Which oftentimes means a trip to your local butcher to look for bone broth made from grass-fed animal bones.
